Plants vs. Zombies Character Creator Wiki

The Shadow Flower is based on the plant of the same name from Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. It is a sun-producing attacking plant in Plants vs. Zombies: The Final Showdown, which can be clicked on to fire a moderately powerful shadow ball at zombies, dealing 300 DPS. This projectile will turn any zombies it kills into 15 sun, and can be very effective if used against groups of zombies. However, it must recharge after every shot, limiting both its damage output and sun production rate.

It is unlocked after beating the Super Sun side path in Hidden Base.

Origin[]

The Shadow Flower is, as with the variant in Garden Warfare, based on Sunflowers, while also being loosely based on superhero vigilantes that hide in the shadows.

Almanac Entry[]

Shadow Flower

Click on it to unleash a powerful shadow ball at zombies!

Damage: super heavy with heavy splash

Range: long

Reload Time: 15 seconds

Special: turns slain zombies into 15 sun each

Plant Food effect: fires a shadow beam through the row, transforming all zombies it slays into sun

The Shadow Flower is well-known among the plants as a kind of superhero, saving plants at the last moment using her shadow balls to slay the zombies. What they don't know is that the mask hides her greatest secret: She's a type of Sunflower.

Cost: 200

Recharge: fast

Plant Food[]

Fires a shadow beam through the row, dealing half massive damage to all zombies it hits, and turning slain zombies into 15 sun each. If you can group up enough zombies, this can be one of the most efficient sun production Plant Food effects in the game.

Strategies[]

Shadow Flowers are a moderately strong supportive attacker, however they are also very costly. In order to get the most out of them, you should use them in longer levels when you're trying to save up sun for other, more expensive plants. It's also useful to group the zombies up as much as possible using defensive plants and slowing plants, as that way you can maximise the amount of zombies you hit with a single shot.

Since sun is only produced for killing the zombies, you need to wait until they are low on health, and attempt to time it perfectly for maximum effectiveness.

If it kills Zombie Chickens or Hornet Zombies, it will only earn 5 sun per kill.
