Magesteras are straight-shooting offensive plants that increase their damage and rate of fire when other Magesteras are nearby.

Overview[]

A Magestera by itself shoots, at the rate of once every two seconds, a small ball of magic that deals 0.5 damage points. However, when two Magesteras are planted in the same row (left to right), they both deal 1 point of damage. 3 Magesteras in the same row each deal 1.5 points of damage, and so on.

Two Magesteras in the same column (up and down) each fire at a rate of once per 1.5 seconds. Three Magesteras fire at a rate of once every second. Four Magesteras fire once every 0.75 seconds, and five fire twice every second.

The fire-rate and damage go down if a Magestera is removed from the other Magesteras' row or column.

Magesteras that are directly adjacent diagonally from each other boost each other's health by 1 ndb.

Magestera is based off of the flower of a Monstera deliciosa, otherwise known as the Swiss Cheese Plant. It is also slightly based off of the skunk cabbage. Its name is a portmanteau of "Monstera" and "mage."

Plant Food Ability[]

Using Plant Food on a Magestera causes it to summon clones of itself on the 8 squares near it, if possible.

Trivia[]

  • Its name, in production, flopped between "Magestera" and "Skunk Magic." This was due to me forgetting what plant this was based on for a while.
